The current access to climbing is usually done in most cases through a climbing wall, or if it is done directly on the rock, in sports climbing areas. But over time, many practitioners look for something more, a bit of adventure, a greater challenge, a more intense contact with the mountains.
And there are the walls that need several pitches to climb, and often an approach and a descent that also add salt to the matter. It is of course there where the climber needs a more extensive archive of knowledge and experience, since more risks must be managed and also be prepared to respond to an incident, since getting off according to which site is not a game. Climbing a long wall is a team effort, it is the concept of the "rope" that has largely been lost with the diversification of climbing styles. The rope has always been synonymous with friendship and trust, and a great bond between two people who join forces to achieve common goals. This trust also implies responsibility, everyone must be prepared to help their partner in the event of problems or accidents. This book aims to help in the transition to those who want to take the step towards the walls from sport climbing. Many may have an excellent technical and physical level, they will do a lot of grade as they say now, but above all, wall climbing often demands more "mental grade", and the mind can be the strongest muscle, but also the weakest no matter how much it is done.
